Dear Cassiopeia. Could you delete an article for me?
Dearest Cassiopeia.
The article you once helped me create: House of Rosensverd
has frequently been subject to smears and harrasment and vandalism.
Thus: We ask you kindly to delete it. Wikipedia is not the place for serious articles but a hangout for vandals and stalkers.
So: Please: Delete it.
I have removed the content anyway.
Thank you Cassiopeia.

Kevin Lee's conversion
It says here [1] that twitter is unreliable unless the tweet is used for an uncontroversial self-description. In the source I provided, Kevin Lee announced his conversion to Islam from his own verified twitter account and self-described himself as a Muslim. 41.45.97.34 (talk) 01:38, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- 41.45.97.34 Twitter is not reliable source but self source can used sparingly about the subject alone. You dont need to keep on add two same source in info provided. Cassiopeia talk 04:11, 13 April 2023 (UTC)

Non NPPS-related request from your NPPS student
Greetings! While I was patrolling badminton biographies, I noticed a lot of SIGCOV-failing articles as zero coverage can be found online. However, two users don't seem to understand the guidelines. One removed all my PRODs of GNG-failing articles, e.g. Patiphat Chalardchaleam, Trawut Potieng, Kittipon Kittikul, Teeranun Chiangta, and Siripong Siripool, with a reason of "has achievements", which I believe is not a valid reason at all. That user also participated in my AFD nominations, saying "It passes NBAD" (barely) or if it doesn't pass NBAD "The subject has achievements which I believe is notable". Another user also used achievements to determine notability, and even said "trivial mentions from some sources establish notability". I am really afraid that the AFD will end with the two non guideline-based (and in my opinion invalid) comments, so can you do some clarification about this situation? Am I wrong about GNG? Thank you very much!
P.S. I will continue working on assignment 2 this Friday. Thank you for your time and effort on preparing the questions! Timothytyy (talk) 13:46, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- Timothytyy Good day. Frist of all both SSN and GNG can be used to establish notability but SSN does NOT supersede GNG. We use SSN for notability as we assume for the subject to pass SSN then it means there should meet SIGOV as to pass the SSN, it usually means they subject has achieve very significant achievement and independent, reliable would have written about them. In short, if a subject passes GNG it valid a page in Wikipedia. (note:Pls also to do a WP:BEFORE prior nomination or place your discussion (vote) on AfD. Some subjects are from countries which English is not their main or second language, and they might have sources talk about them in their local language.) As for your question above, barely pass NBAD or trivial mention is considered pass GNG or NBAD is incorrectly and we can NOT use trivial mention or barely pass as the argument that the subject pass notability guidelines. However, pls note that if the subject fail NBAD, but pass GNG then the subject is valid a page. Hope this answer your question and let me know if anything else I can help. (Btw: thanks for updating me about your assignment progress). Bes safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 00:01, 20 April 2023 (UTC)

C.V.U - I need a trainer
Hello,
I'd like a trainer and be trained for the Counter-Vandalism Unit. I have just under 200 edits, but I have originally created 2 articles. If you could train me that would be nice. Thanks.
BillClinternet (talk) 16:41, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
- BillClinternet, Good day and thank you for interested in CVUA program. The min total "main space" edits to join the program is 200 and you have only 99 - see here. Secondly, to be a counter vandalism editor, you need to understand and communicate in a polite and civil manner to all editors, including the vandalized editors) and not edit warring, disruptive editing. I suggest you to complete the WP:TWA program first to understand some basic Wikipedia guidelines and have more edits prior pop back here to join the program. Be safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 23:52, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- I was looking at my total edits on wikipedia rather than mainspace. My misunderstanding. I have already acquired the knowledge of speaking in a civil way to others and I have been editing since January 2022 (I only made this account rather recently).
- Thanks for the additional resouce,

NPP School traning
Hi, I'd like to apply to become one of your NPP School trainees. I've been patrolling new pages for a year now, but I've only been looking at 5-10 pages a week, and mostly rely off of this flowchart, which doesn't cover a lot, meaning I'm fairly inexperienced. I think your help would be very helpful for me to become a better new page patroller and to expand my work of maintaining Wikipedia's quality. interstatefive 00:54, 24 April 2023 (UTC)

- I'm up for it. However, when I said I was "inexperienced", I didn't mean I didn't know much about policies such as WP:NPOV or WP:V, I meant I didn't know much on the NPP process due to completely relying on the flow chart. Do you think the TWA would still be helpful, even though it just covers stuff I already know? interstatefive 22:09, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- Interstatefive You would familiar with the basic/fundamental general Wikipedia guidelines by taking the TWA program. Pls complete the TWA program (only 90 mins) and pop back here and I will set up the program for you. Cassiopeia talk 03:02, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

Potential student
Hi Cass. Long time no speak. Hope you're going well. Saw this editor @CoderThomasB detect spam and reach out to the Teahouse for help. To me that shows a degree of competence and conduct that is very promising, particularly as he only has 250 edits. I recommended that he at one stage requests to complete UVAA, although they may need a little more experience before enrolling...promising potential future student. Take care, MC MaxnaCarta (talk) 02:14, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
- I would definitely be interested in learning more about anti-vandalism/counter-vandalism and the related tools on Wikipedia! But I would like to know what kind of things are involved in a mentorship before fully committing, and to make sure the mentorship doesn't interfere with school and other such things. I have mainly worked on other wiki-like projects like OpenStreetMap and a bit of open source software, but as you can see by my edit count I haven't done much substantial on Wikipedia yet, but I do think I have a reasonable understanding of most of the guidelines. Also, I think you meant WP:CVUA or WP:AAU not UVAA, would that be correct? - CoderThomasB (talk) 12:47, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
- @CoderThomasB yep, CVUA is correct. Forgive the typo. At this level of edits, you probably won't be accepted just yet. I recommend you go over to the page and take a look at the curriculum. Some things off the top of my head you will learn:
- How to use tools like Twinkle and the Recent Changes log to detect clear vandalism
- How to detect and report vandalism to administrators
- How to detect and report other issues such as username violations, copyright, spam, and other misc issues
- How to (once you are ready) apply for advanced permissions like Rollbacker which enable you to use Huggle (Do not use Huggle until someone explains how it works, you can do significant damage very quickly by accident if you do not know what you're doing). Etc etc.

NPP School traning - did you forget?
Hey,
A few days ago I requested to become one of your NPP shool trainees, and you said yes, so long as I completed The Wikipedia Adventure. I did, and I said so, but you haven't gotten back to me. Now, the thread is archived, so I'm wondering if you're still on board with this or if you can't. Thanks! interstatefive 00:48, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

CVU training
Hello! I would like you to train me and teach me the ropes of counter-vandalism. I have a little bit of experience doing it, I have about 150 edits (130 vandalism reverts), which is a bit short of the 200 requirement, but I still hope you consider me. Idkiguessus (talk) 02:08, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
- I should add i know CSS and JS Idkiguessus (talk) 23:10, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
- Idkiguessus Thank you for interested in joining the program. However, the requirement for editor needs to have at least minimum total main space edits of 200 to join the program and you have total of 77 currently. Pop back here if you are still interest once you have reach the required edits and at the mean time pls complete WP:TWA program to familiar with the fundamental Wikipedia guidelines. (Note: I suggest you to remove the "warning" info on your user page as it is not polite nor it serves any purposes especially if you want to become a counter vandalism editor. Once it reaches the level 4 warning, and the editor continuing of such edit, we can notify AIV about the editor. To say that, it is unsouced edit and not a vandalism edit, so pls be aware of WP:3RR revert rule and dont revert more than 3 times within 24 hours on the same page for you will be blocked from editing. NPPS
Hello there, I am interested in joining NPP school. Snowmanonahoe (talk) 23:32, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
What a coincidence, I’d also like to enroll in NPP school! Aaron Liu (talk) 16:24, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Aaron Liu and Snowmanonahoe: Hi, Thank you for interested in joining the program. Pls note that the program is extremely comprehensive and do require a lot of your time to do the assignment and reading the material (guidelines). Most participants take about 3 months to complete the program; however there is no time limit to finish course. Pls let me know if you are still interested after reading the above info prior I set up the program for you. By the way, Snowanonahoe, pls complete WP:TWA (about 90 mins) program first to familiar with the fundamental Wikipedia guidelines and one you have done so, then pop back here if you want to join the program. - I understand your warning and am still interested. Do I have to do The Wikipedia Adventure though? It seems aimed at editors much newer than myself, and I'm not a fan of the edits its making to my userspace. It's also very buggy to the point of near unusability.Snowmanonahoe (talk) 18:35, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
- Snowmanonahoe WP:TWA is a very help program for all editor especially edition have not edit for a long time. To be a counter vandalism is not about worrying certain info appear in your user page as you can always remove them. If you truly understand guidelines, then you would not ask editors not to look at your user history page and commented that it is buggy to the point of near unitability. To be a counter vandalism is to help the project by deter and educate editors who make vandalism edits or edits that is not helpful but unknown to the editor due to they do not know the Wikipedia guidelines in a gentle, polite manner. I dont think you have the mindset to work on counter vandalism work at this moment, when you are and still interested in volunteer in counter vandalism then do pop back here in the future. Until then take care and bee safe. Cassiopeia talk 03:36, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Do you have me confused with someone else? I have edited quite a bit recently—I suppose I had a gap in activity 2 years ago but after I came back makes up 75% of my edits—I’m interested in joining new page patrol school, not CVUA, and I never asked you to look at my userpage history. Also, the reason why I said it’s unusably buggy is because it, well it is. Try it yourself. Any part that involves pressing the edit button doesn’t work. It doesn’t detect that you’ve pressed the edit button properly. Snowmanonahoe (talk) 03:42, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Snowmanonahoe My apologies, I meant NPPS. Not sure you try in on mobile or lap top. Somme editors find it hard to get the program work due to they tried it on mobile as the system might not support certain features in mobile but it always work if you do the program in laptop for no editors have told me they have problem with the program using their desk or laptop. NPPS is a very compressive and complex program, it is very hard for any editor who do not have fundamental guidelines of Wikipedia for most editors who have done the TWA program would quite NPPS program after they have done 3-4 assignments because it entails so much work and understanding of the guidelines. But for those editors who completed the program would gain so much understanding not only to review new page but for general editing purposes in Wikipedia especially those editor would like to be a long term editors in the project. Be safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 03:56, 9 May 2023 (UTC)

Error in title and numeration
There's an error with last week's event that should be fixed and corrected:
- → per Sherdog
- which makes it as UFC on ESPN 45 — UFC on ESPN 45: Song vs. Simón → UFC on ESPN: Song vs. Simón
Keep up the excellent work you're doing! Thanks. --Discographer (talk) 10:40, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
- Discographer I see and thank you for the information. Will rename all the events and fighters associated with it will take some time to get it done as it involved many articles to be corrected. Thanks again. Be safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 03:16, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
